Epson Stylus Printer Advertisement



This advertisement is meant to take Epson to new markets. Currently, much of Epson's marketing for their desktop inkjet printers is geared toward people who simply want to print off digital photos or word-processing. The marketing focuses on the color reproduction and sharpness of the prints.

My approach focused on a new type of people, with a new angle. This ad is focused toward "home digital creatives": people who have a more involved digital art hobby than simply removing red-eye and printing photos.

The Headline is "Reality... Has left the building." Elvis Presley strums a guitar, joined by a modern, scruffy teenager with his "thumbs up" gesture. With digital compositing and Epson printing, you can "make history" with all the sharp and true colors of a real photograph.
